Call me a marketing nerd, but I love seeing what other companies are doing with their marketing and reading in-depth articles about specific topics. I hope this recap inspires you to think more creatively about your business’ marketing, so without further ado, here are some of the best articles I read this month:
For the e-commerce and retail folks: Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales set a new record this year. Shopify says that sales on its platform increased by 76% compared to the same time last year, and Amazon saw a 60% increase in marketplace sales.
With everything that has happened in 2020, it might be easy to forget who was canceled this year. Don’t worry, here’s a list of the 9 biggest cancels of 2020.
The United Kingdom kicked off COVID-19 vaccinations, with the United States following suit soon after. Now, pharmaceutical companies, public health agencies and celebrities (an odd throuple, if you ask me) are collaborating to apply influencer marketing tactics to encourage the public to get vaccinated.

This article was an insightful look into what might happen if the creator economy had a “middle class”, and how to get there.
Last but not least, I was one of 10 entrepreneurial womxn asked to share social media hacks that work (and those that don’t), over on the Create & Cultivate blog.
See you in the new year!
